This website belongs to Jeroen Dijkstra, independent consultant. I handle your details carefully and collect no more than I need to answer your question.
Who is responsible
Jeroen Dijkstra, based in the Netherlands. Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 83288929, VAT number NL003798775B09. Reachable at jeroen@jeroen-dijkstra.nl.
What I process
Only what you enter yourself in the contact or request form: your name, email address, optionally your company name and your message. For a meeting request, also the slot and duration you chose. If you fill in nothing, no personal data is recorded.
What I use it for
Solely to get back to you about your question or a possible assignment. I do not sell your data and do not use it for newsletters or advertising.
Legal basis
For answering your message or meeting request I rely on your request and on my legitimate interest in staying in touch with prospective clients (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Keeping invoices and records is a legal obligation ((c)). I do not take decisions about you based solely on automated processing or profiling.
Interactive demos and AI
This site includes demos where you can enter text or upload a document yourself, for example to show how AI reads an invoice. What you enter is used only to show you a result immediately and is not stored by me. To do that, the input is processed by the AI model of my hosting platform. Please do not use real personal data or confidential documents in the demos.
How long I keep it
Requests are kept as long as needed for our contact and any assignment, and after that no longer than two years for my records.
Cookies and measurement
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies and uses no ad networks. Only technically necessary browser storage is used, for example to remember your language choice; under the cookie rules that needs no consent. To see which pages are visited I keep high-level statistics: pages viewed, the website you arrived from, clicks on links and buttons, and whether a form or meeting request was sent. I use those statistics in aggregate only — not to follow you across websites and not to build a profile of you.
Sharing with others
For hosting this site, storing requests, the calendar feature and sending email I use service providers that act solely on my instructions (processors), with agreements on security and confidentiality in place. Beyond that I share nothing with third parties, unless the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. That only happens under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or a valid adequacy decision, with additional safeguards.
Security
The site runs entirely over a secure connection (HTTPS) and requests are accessible only to me. I do not use data from requests for purposes other than contacting you.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right to data portability. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send a message to jeroen@jeroen-dijkstra.nl; I respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
